Jackson Hole Weekly Weather Tips

The fall foliage in the Teton area is starting to pop. Time for a scenic drive!

THIS WEEK:

• The Annual Jackson Hole Fall Arts Festival starts Wednesday and continues through September 20th. This decades-old arts festival has become the premier cultural event of Jackson Hole and attracts hundreds of nationally and internationally acclaimed artists who embody the spirit of the West. • Be sure to head over to the National Museum of Wildlife Art on Wednesday for the 5 p.m. dedication of a sculpture honoring the late great Grizzly 399 and her four cubs. This larger-than-life bronze sculpture is located at the main entrance to the museum. Enjoy a meet-and-greet with the sculptor.

• Teton Village Restaurant Week runs through September 13th. Throughout the week, participating restaurants across the Village (at the base of Jackson Hole Mountain Resort) will offer thoughtfully crafted prix-fixe lunch and dinner menus at $29 and $49, showcasing the culinary talent, seasonal flavors and mountain hospitality that define Teton Village. • There will be a 9/11 memorial ceremony at Town Square on Friday from 8 to 10 a.m., commemorating the 25th anniversary of that horrific day when 343 firefighters, 23 police officers and 37 Port Authority officers lost their lives on 9/11/01. This event is sponsored by the Jackson Hole Fire/EMS Foundation.

THIS WEEKEND:

• On Saturday, the Teton Village Art & Culinary Trail — part of the Fall Arts Festival — invites you to stroll through a vibrant trail of artist showcases and culinary delights from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Stops along the trail will offer signature cocktails and appetizers crafted by top village chefs.

• Jackson-based funk outfit Sneaky Pete and the Secret Weapons will re-emerge Saturday night to play on the Pink Garter Theatre stage. With their original mountain music and high-energy live shows, the band built a loyal following and became a fixture of the local music scene. Presented by Tumbleweed Creative Arts, tickets to the 9 p.m. performance cost $25 and can be bought here.

• The annual Arts on the Green will be held on the Center for the Arts lawn on Sunday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. There is no entry fee to view and purchase art, jewelry and more from 50+ local creatives, including some of Jackson's finest artists. Bar and live entertainment throughout the afternoon.

MUSIC MOMENTS:

• Ken Earl & Shameless are playing through Saturday night at Million Dollar Cowboy Bar. Time: 8:30 p.m.; no cover fee

• On Thursday night from 7:30 to 11 p.m., Three Jacks will perform at the Silver Dollar Bar in the Wort Hotel; no cover fee.

• On Sundays, the world-famous Stagecoach Band has been playing at the Stagecoach Bar every Sunday for 55 years! From 6 to 10 p.m., come enjoy "Church," as the locals refer to it, for some good old-fashioned country swing dancing.
