IL Villaggio Osteria Restaurant

While Jackson Hole skiing, you've chosen steeps and deeps, or bowls and glades. Maybe tackled a couple of black diamonds, or mastered several green and blue runs. And now your stomach is ready to tackle the task of refueling for an afternoon of more skiing goodness. Luckily for you, there are plenty of choices for food and atmosphere.

The following 8 great places to grab lunch are listed here in alphabetical order. If you’re here skiing for a week, you can hit different Teton Village restaurants each day of your winter vacation!

Jackson Hole Mountain Resort

CORBET'S CABIN

Waffles for lunch? Heck, yeah! At the top of the Aerial Tram sits the iconic Corbet's Cabin, infamous for its homemade waffles. Nutella, Englishman, Brown Sugar Butter, Blueberry Peanut Butter and Bacon, the vegetarian Mountain Waffle, and good old cinnamon waffles — plus more options — are on the menu, in addition to hot cocoa and locally and nationally brewed beer. This is a decadently delicious lunch option with decidedly awesome views!

Traveler Tidbit: Corbet's Cabin has been named the No. 2 "Best Ski Restaurant" in the country by USA TODAY!

Apres Ski Jackson Hole

THE HANDLE BAR

Located slopeside in the Four Seasons Hotel and Resort, the Handle Bar is a pretty sought after lunch, après ski and dinner spot. The outside terrace includes heated lamps and enviable views of all the action, so try and get there early to snag a good table. The inside dining room is equally as lovely and beyond cozy. The signature dish is The Handle Burger, featuring caramelized onions, roasted mushrooms, smoked blue cheese, and truffle aioli. Soups, salads, pub faves and the proverbial more are also on the menu. Opens at 11 a.m.

Mangy Moose Restaurant & Saloon

MANGY MOOSE

Lunch is served in two locations at the iconic Mangy Moose: the Mangy Moose Cafe (in the belly of the Moose, as we like to call it) and in the infamous Mangy Moose Saloon. The budget-friendly lunch menus have a variety of local, Wyoming-raised beef burgers, buffalo and elk burgers, sandwiches, and salads. All food items are created from scratch and locally sourced as much as possible. You’ll definitely get a kick out of the Saloon’s decidedly eclectic décor hanging from the ceiling and walls. Lunch from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

OSTERIA

Fuel up for the second half of your day on the slopes with house-made pasta, oven-fired pizza, and other delectable Italian dishes at Il Villaggio Osteria. Inside Hotel Terra, Osteria is a little piece of Italy in western Wyoming. It features a salumi bar, seasonal salads, and imported meats and cheeses from the world’s finest purveyors. Try the pomegranate Brussels sprouts — an adventure for your palate and a reward for shushing the black diamond runs. Opens at 11:30 a.m.

Jackson Hole Mountain Resort - Piste

PISTE

Piste Mountain Bistro delivers a lively dining experience at the top of the Bridger Gondola. The restaurant's menu features produce and meat from regional producers, including Cosmic Apple Gardens and Snake River Farms in Idaho, Haderlie Farms, Carter Country Meat, Lockhart Cattle Company and Mead Ranch Beef.

SOUTHCABLE

Located in the Caldera House, next to the tram dock, Southcable is a casual lunch destination (its breakfast burritos are a special treat, too, though) featuring a state-of-the-art pizza oven. In addition to pizza are salads sure to satiate your rumbling tummy. A Yelp reviewer says it all: "This was the best fast cafe when we ate a quick lunch at Jackson Hole. You can even eat for under $10!" Southcable opens at 7 a.m.

SURE HAND RESTAURANT

Sure Hand is a new, inviting restaurant and social hub in the Faraway Jackson Hole hotel, anchored by a wood-burning fireplace and adjacent lobby lounge. Designed as a lively gathering space after a day on the mountain or exploring the surrounding parks, Sure Hand will serve locally inspired dishes and craft cocktails, with an atmosphere that transitions from relaxed daytime dining to vibrant evenings with friends.

TRAM DOCK

Here’s an option for skiers to savor a fast, casual lunch, partake of a fun après scene, and everything in between. Tram Dock is built into the, well, Aerial Tram dock and therefore surrounded by some serious skiing vibes. Walk through the doors of one of the original tram cars and experience a great menu of food and drinks. The new eatery also offers a connection to Jackson Hole’s culture both past and present. Feed your craving with its eclectic menu featuring share-size appetizers, refreshing salads, mouth-watering burgers, and sandwiches. A kids’ menu is also available. Tram Dock has outdoor seating, too, on a comfortable patio.
