Float on a tube, take command of a kayak, perfect your paddleboard technique, enjoy a cruise on Jenny Lake, or a scenic float trip down the Snake River. A wondrous water adventure awaits!
Jenny Lake
Jenny Lake Boating runs small, passenger shuttles from the South Jenny Lake boat dock to Inspiration Point every 15-20 minutes during the summer. This short, beautiful trip drops you right at the yawning mouth of Cascade Canyon, sparing you some major hiking miles to one of the park’s most popular destinations.

Jackson Lake
A favorite recreation site for Jackson Hole locals, Jackson Lake is the biggest lake in the park and welcomes all kinds of watercrafts. (Permits are required for motorized craft). Although the lake is scenic and blissfully relaxing on a sunny day, it measures 400 (very chilly!) feet deep at its center—so novice paddlers may want to choose a shallower body of water.
Floating the Snake River
Winding an ever-changing route through the valley, the Snake River provides a spectacular raft-side perspective to soak in the varied scenery of Grand Teton National Park. Expert-guided float trips are available or you can try the gentle section from Jackson Lake Dam to Pacific Creek yourself. Check with a ranger at one of the visitor centers for permit information.
