The Bunnery in Jackson Hole

The Bunnery is Jackson Hole’s No. 1 go-to breakfast spot. Even after 40 years, the awesome food and homemade pastries are as fresh as ever.

The Bunnery Bakery and Restaurant, just steps off Jackson Hole’s renowned Town Square, is essentially one of those classic Jackson Hole must-do experiences for those visiting our special spot in the northwest corner of Wyoming. In fact, many visitors reportedly come straight to the restaurant from the airport to stock up on its various baked goods and house-made granolas to enjoy during their vacation here.

A Jackson Hole Favorite Since 1975

Family owned and operated for more than 40 years, The Bunnery has served up countless fresh, mouthwatering pastries and a dizzying, delicious selection of breakfast and lunch items, earning its reputation as a favorite gathering place for locals and visitors alike.

The proof of its popularity and excellence can be found in a poll conducted recently by MSNBC that named it the “Best Diner in Wyoming.” It also ranks among the “Top 10 Restaurants in Jackson” on TripAdvisor.

The restaurant originally opened in 1985 as a bakery in a small log cabin that was once a blacksmith's shop. It soon became known for its exceptional breads, buns and pastries made with the freshest ingredients and nutritious whole grains. In 1980 it opened its doors as The Bunnery Bakery and Restaurant and its distinction as a Jackson Hole gem was solidified.

The Bunnery Jackson Hole

Hearty Fare in a Welcoming Setting

The Bunnery is a deceivingly large eatery, able to seat just over 90 diners inside and  — during the summer months — outside on its inviting, covered terrace. Although sometimes there can be a line of eager people waiting for a table, general manager Shauna DuPont says that rarely detours those seeking a memorable meal.

“It’s a single file line,” DuPont says. “You might see 20 people waiting outside but it’s a deceivingly long line and moves very quickly — less than 5 minutes.”

In fact, the restaurant’s motto is: “Fast and Friendly.”

“It’s important to have fast service,” says DuPont. “Visitors are not necessarily here to linger; they want to get on with their day outside in the parks or hiking and we know that. We have figured out how to efficiently serve you.”

“You always feel like you’re having breakfast at home here.” – Shauna DuPont, general manager of The Bunnery

The simply prepared breakfast menu items feature a variety of eggs, including made-to-order omelets and classic quiches and fluffy, golden pancakes, waffles and French toast made with The Bunnery’s nutty, whole grain O.S.M. recipe. Southwestern standards, such as huevos rancheros, breakfast burritos and steak and eggs, make for a satisfying start to the day. An irresistible selection of breakfast breads, croissants and buns arrive at your table fresh from the oven.

While eggs and pastries are served all day, the half-pound burgers are reportedly the best in Jackson, made from all natural, locally produced beef and buffalo from Jackson Hole Buffalo Meat Co. A classic club, signature hot and cold sandwiches, meltingly luscious grilled cheese selections and crisp, fresh salads round out the lunch offerings.

The Bunnery Granola Jackson Hole

Fresh Daily, From-Scratch Baked Goods

The Bunnery Bakery is where the establishment started and it remains a focal point of the restaurant. Made from scratch baked goods, pastries and desserts are all waiting to be carried out at the bakery counter. You should also pick up a bag or two of the trademarked O.S.M. granola, pancake and waffle mix or oatmeal, based on oats, sunflower seeds and millet from an original Bunnery recipe — a unique blend you'll find nowhere else. Edible souvenirs are the best!

“This is such a great breakfast place and you probably won't be able to leave without purchasing something from their bakery case. The waffles and quiche were excellent as were the apple turnovers. Very good service. This place is super popular so get there early.” – reviewer on TripAdvisor

Whether you’re craving a yummy pastry and a cup of Joe to start your day or a full-on breakfast — or it’s lunchtime and you want to dine in an iconic Jackson Hole eatery — The Bunnery has a seat waiting for you and your family.
