THIS WEEK: On June 11th, The Murie Center's "Front Porch Out and About Series" begins. Presented free by Teton Science Schools at the historic Murie Ranch in Grand Teton National Park from 5:45 to 7 p.m., this event, titled "Before They Vanish: Using Hope and Action to Save Species from Extinction," features Dr. Gerardo Ceballo, one of the world’s leading conservation scientists. THIS WEEKEND: Friday marks the summer opening day at Grand Targhee Mountain Resort. On Saturday, the 14th, make sure to attend the free Annual Plein Air Fest at the National Museum of Wildlife Art (wildlifeart.org) from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Fifty invited artists are given one day to create new masterpieces en plein air (outside).
MUSIC MOMENTS: Snake River Brewing's Summer Music Series begins Thursday evening with Quinlan Valdez. Enjoy live music on select Thursdays each month from 5 to 8 p.m.
DADDY'S DAY DOINGS: On Sunday, the 15th, Jackson Hole Mountain Resort celebrates fathers with big "Deals for Dad." These deals include a complimentary sightseeing ticket (Aerial Tram, Bridger and Sweetwater gondolas, including evening gondola) and a free bike park ticket for Dad; $20 bike park ticket for the rest of the family from 2 to 5 p.m.
• “Daddy Hour” at Wild Sage Restaurant in the Rusty Parrot lounge will be from 3 to 9 p.m. in the lounge and courtyard, featuring $10 burgers, $2 beers and lawn games.
