What's New

Jackson Office Now Open
Our Jackson office is open for booking for all winter 2008-09 and summer 2009 courses on November 1. After a bit of recuperation time after the busy summer, Patrick Petersen is back and ready to take your calls and questions regarding the coming seasons' expeditions, classes, and trips! We look forward to hearing from you.

Avalanche Courses

JHMG's Avalanche Course schedule for winter 2008-2009 is now up--we invite anyone with interest in taking an avalanche course to peruse the website or call us for more information. Our skilled instructors are without question great teachers and knowledgeable backcountry travellers, and are ready to give you and your friends some training.

Summit For Someone
Big City Mountaineers is opening their registration for 2009 Summit for Someone climbs October 15. In return for raising money for great programs, donors get free gear and a climb of one of North America's classic peaks. JHMG is pleased to continue our participation in this program, offering climbs of The Grand Teton, Mt. Moran, Buck Mountain, Middle Teton, and Gannett Peak in the coming year.

JHMG's 40th Anniversary Photos
We have pictures from the JHMG 40th Anniversary Party up on the web. Paul Horton is continuing to post and caption photos from our great reunion on June 28th this year. Guides who attended were from 1968 to the present; scroll through and see if you recognize one of your guides.

Collins Establishes New Route
Guide Greg Collins has been actively establishing new routes in the Tetons for years. He and local innkeeper Hans Johnstone have recently put up a classic new route in Rock Springs Canyon.
